Open Ocean is one team with three ways into the ocean: racing, sailing experiences and yacht management, all led by Jesse Fielding. Each programme stands on its own. They share the same crew, the same standards and the same belief that time at sea should be taken seriously and enjoyed fully.
Racing
Grand Prix ocean and inshore campaigns, in monohulls and multihulls. We build each campaign around the owner's racing objective, from crew preparation and boat development to the logistics between events.
Experience
An ocean racing masterclass aboard Altum 68, a 68-foot Mills-designed racing yacht. Guests learn from the crew, take part in the work aboard and see Grand Prix sailing from the deck.
Management
Bespoke project management for yacht owners, covering programming, performance refits, new builds and performance analysis. Responsibility is clear, the right specialists are coordinated and the owner always knows what comes next.
Who leads it
Jesse Fielding's sailing runs from offshore racing on film in Morning Light, through Figaro training in Newport with Francesca Clapcich, to the Newport Bermuda Race aboard the Mills 68. Preparation, practical teaching and a crew that works together are at the centre of how he runs a boat, and of how Open Ocean will work.
